Lent and Easter 2024 - Journey with us in-person or online

You're invited to join our parish family as we make our way from Ash Wednesday through Holy Week to the celebration of Christ's glorious Resurrection on Easter.  Surrounded by community and nourished by prayer, we will journey together in these holy season of Lent and Easter.  Below is our schedule of services.    Read here about what to expect when you visit us.

Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent: a time of fasting, prayer, self-examination and preparation for the Easter Feast.  In case you missed it, you can watch an archived service here.  

Sundays in Lent
10:00 am In-Person | 4:00 pm Online

All are warmly invited to join us on our Lenten journey.  We gather in-person at 10:00 am or online at 4:00 pm.  Our 10:00 am service has Sunday School for children aged 4-12 and the service is followed by a time of fellowship in the auditorium.

Blessing of the Palms

Palm Sunday - March 24
10:00 am In-Person | 4:00 pm Online

Holy Week begins with the Sunday of the Passion (Palm Sunday) as we make the journey from Jesus's triumphant entry into Jerusalem to his utter rejection and crucifixion.  Incense may be used at this service.

Maundy Thursday - March 28
7:00 pm In-Person

At this celebration of Holy Communion, we remember Jesus's Last Supper and his charge to love one another through the washing of feet.  We end the service by stripping the altar.  Incense may be used at this service.

Solemn Liturgy of Good Friday - March 29
10:00 am In-Person | 4:00 pm Online

Join us we remember Christ's suffering, crucifixion and death on Good Friday with a service of Scripture, music and ancient prayers.

Good Friday Prayer Walk - March 29
11:00 am In-Person

Our Family Prayer Walk on Good Friday starts & ends at Christ Church.  It is approximately 4km of paved pathways in downtown Brampton and along the Etobicoke Creek path.  Please note that there is a set of stairs to access the Etobicoke Creek path.  All are very welcome to join us. Dogs on-leash are welcome too!

Good Friday Stations of the Cross - March 29
7:00 pm In-Person

Through the reading of scripture, this service provides a quiet, contemplative space to reflect on the death and burial of Jesus.

Easter Day - March 31
10:00 am In-Person | 4:00 pm Online

Allulia! Christ is risen!  We will gather around Christ's table and join in music, prayer to proclaim Jesus' victory over death and the Good News of the Resurrection.  Incense may be used at this service.
