Scouting at Christ Church
Scouts Canada is the country's leading co-ed youth organization. For more than 100 years, we have brought a world of adventure, outdoor experience and friendship to 17 million Canadian youth in Beavers, Cubs, Scouts.
Locally, Scouting has enjoyed a long tradition at Christ Church with programs in existence for over 60 years. For many of these years, our own Ted Walter has been involved, most recently as the Group Commissioner. Ted has now been appointed a Member-at-Large for 2nd Brampton and in his place, Jean Redl has been appointed Group Commissioner. Jean also has been a member of Christ Church for many years. Please join us in congratulating both Ted and Jean on these appointments. Our young people are blessed by these dedicated volunteers and all those who volunteer in the Scouting programs.

Beavers (Age 5 - 7)
The Beaver Scout program is built around a variety
of activities that include:

Nature walks and hikes

Picnics and family-based camping

Tree planting

Crafts

Storytelling and playacting

Spiritual fellowship

Cub Scouts (Age 8 - 10)
The Cub Scout Program focuses on 6 activity areas:
1. The Natural World
2. Outdoors
3. Creative Expression
4. Healthy Living
5. Home and Community
6. Canada and the World
Cub Scouts are encouraged to try new and more challenging activities. Learning important first aid skills, and many other adventures they never thought possible. Along the way, Cub Scouts learn how to take care of themselves and work as a team and most importantly have a lot of fun! Some Activities include:

Cub Scout Promise:

Kids in Scouts have a lot of fun discovering new things and experiences they wouldn't have elsewhere. Along the way they develop into capable, confident and well-rounded individuals, better prepared for success in the world.

Scouts (Age 11 - 14)
Scouts is about having fun, gaining value leadership skills and self-confidence while working together with other young people to accomplish thrilling challenges. Scouting gives every member a chance to be a leader. It might involve running an activity, organizing a camp, or participating with other young people across your province or Canada in a youth forum. The Scout program focuses on outdoor and environmental activities, citizenship and community service, leadership and personal development and includes a variety of activities like:
